Dia Frampton Covers Lego House in this week's #CoverMondays

All Dia Frampton & Kina Grannis fans out there have to wait for another week for their cover! ;)

What better way to make up for the delay? LEGO HOUSE by Ed Sheeran!! Dia recorded a last minute video for this week's episode of Cover Mondays. She explained in the description section of the video why she uploaded it instead of the promised duet. :)

I love her previous covers, I really do, but there's just something about the simplicity of this video that I find endearing. Must be the tenderness of her voice and the fact that it wasn't overpowered by the instrument that only showcased the quality of her voice. Go click on the video and see/hear what I mean. :)

Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to her YouTube account!

Fingers crossed for a duet next week! ;)

She's on most social media. Go stalk, I mean, FOLLOW her!

You can also follow one of her PH streetteams.

Marié Digby Covers Clarity by Zedd ft. Foxes

It's been 3 months since the last time she uploaded a cover on YouTube. The wait is SO worth it! Due to popular demand, on June 17th, Marié posted her cover of Clarity by Zedd ft. Foxes. Clarity is one of those mainstream songs (there aren't many) that's currently in my iTunes loop.

The video, as Marié described it, was "dreamy". If the original made me want to stand up and dance, her version made me want to just lie in my bed and stare at the ceiling while listening to it (which I may have done a few times.). The best thing about Marié's cover was the emotion she put in the song. It came from her heart, out from her lips to the listeners' ears and straight to their hearts. It's one thing to nail a song, but to get chills because of its beauty and authenticity, it's a gift.

I can't wait to hear more from her. Hopefully soon! And maybe an original here and there? ;)

Aside from YouTube, she's also on Twitter and Facebook! Go subscribe, follow and like! :D

Dia Frampton's #CoverMondays (Recap)

I know, I know, late post again! Lol. I was a bit busy these past few weeks. Hurrah! I kinda love that work is picking up. Hated being idle the first few weeks at my new work. Hehe. Hoping that it won't get TOO crazy though. ;)

Anyways, it's been 3 weeks since I posted something about Dia Frampton relaunching Cover Mondays. Here they are!

06/03/2013 : I LOVE IT, Icona Pop - Not a huge fan of Icona Pop, I've heard snippets of the original song and thought it was likeable. Dia's version was so good that it became my "song of the week"! Lol.

06/10/2013 : STAY, Rihanna ft. Mikky Ekko - The original version gave me a feel of sadness and tragedy. It quite made me still and quiet for a few minutes after I listened to it the first time. Dia's cover of Stay sounded hopeful, at least  for me, and I loved it!

06/17/2013 : Footsteps (Original) - I know it says covers... no complaints here! ;)

Dia posted a photo of her and Kina Grannis a few days ago. I'm hoping that next Cover Mondays episode will feature Kina! The wait is seriously killing me!

Cover Mondays in a couple of days! See you loves!

P.S. Let Dia know what you would like for her to cover next time. Go ahead! :)

Dia Frampton's #CoverMondays is back!

As you all may have known, I've been a great supporter of YouTube artists for years now. And as every fan girl in YT, I also hope, no dream, that 2 or more of my fave artists collaborate, whether writing a new song or just doing a cover.

Dia Frampton, The Voice Season 1 runner-up, is going to re-release #CoverMondays with a guest, fellow YouTuber, are you ready for this?!!!, Kina Grannis!! Dia uploaded a photo of Kina & herself announcing the collaboration.

Aren't they adorable?

I've had the honor of seeing these 2 in a live show. They were both amazing and different in good way. Both claimed to be awkward but, seriously, they were so adorable on stage! What made me more excited about this collaboration is the fact that their music is quite different. I wonder which song they will cover. Do you have any guesses?

Don't forget to tune in on Dia's YouTube channel every Monday!

So happy! Lol.

Click the links below if you want to know more about the artists. They're awesome!

[Late Post] MARIÉ DIGBY: Live in Singapore! (10/18/2012)

[A super duper late post!!! This has been sitting in my drafts for ages! Eeeeeekkkk!!! Will try to empty my drafts tonight! :D Moving on.. Just imagine that it's still October. Lol.]

It wasn't Marié's first time to perform for her Singaporean fans. It was in 2009 when she performed for them at The Arena (Clarke Quay) to promote her album, Breathing Underwater.

It was also in 2009 since the last time I saw Marié Digby perform a full concert. I've seen her perform 3-5 songs in her mall shows in Manila 2 years ago
(there was a LOT! Seriously.), but it's never the same. We, Pinoy fans, have been begging for a concert since she released Your Love, which she recorded in Manila in 2011, but we aren't lucky so far. So that was why, together with 7 of my friends, we went to Singapore last October to see her concert and do some tourist stuff as well.

October 18, 2012 when Marié graced the stage of Esplanade Concert Hall. I still remember Marié's reaction when she saw the PH Digbyholics in the audience. Surprised? Grateful? It was priceless. Going to Singapore was actually the craziest thing I've done for an artist. And I've done a lot of crazy stuff! But she's not just a favorite artist/singer/songwriter to me. She's a friend. She's an inspiration.
From her, I learned that it's okay to be scared sometimes. She inspires me to be brave and to go for what I want, to go for what I feel will make me happy. Cheesy as it is, she inspires me to be better.

The audience was treated for a night full of music and stories about love and life. Accompanied by a guitarist and a percussionist, they gave each song a richer feel that pulled on the heartstrings of those who came and listened. Listening to Marié tell the story behind each of her songs gave me a clearer understanding of what she was going through while writing them. When you've been a fan for so long, you couldn't help but feel for her. Which, by the way, led to teary eyes. Lol. I wish I could have recorded the entire show for everyone! The venue was so strict about recording the show, BUT I may have recorded (sneaked) a song and a half, and I may have uploaded them on YouTube. :D

Below is my favorite track from her album Unfold, Voice on the Radio.

Below are some of the photos I sneaked from the show.

Setlist:

1. Great Mistake
2. Breathing Underwater
3. Stupid For You
4. Beauty In Walking Away
5. Sleeping Next To you
6. Sweet Dreams (Beyoncé Original)
7. Umbrella (Rihanna Original)
Intermission
8. Swoon
9. Voice On The Radio
10. I Do
11. Bring Me Love
12. Unfold
13. Say It Again
14. Spell

I wish Marié will be able to perform live in Manila this year. I mean, a show this good should be seen live by everyone. No bias!

By the way, Marié is now an independent artist. Support her by spreading her music. :)
